Every path to the breasts you want,

Volume, shape, position, symmetry, or a previous result you're unhappy with. Dr. Kim performs the full range of breast surgery, and the right answer is often not the one you arrived expecting.

Most Requested

Breast Augmentation with Implants

Silicone or saline implants sized to your frame, not to a catalog. We use 3D-informed sizing at consultation so you see the proportion before you commit to it.

Silicone · Saline · Sub-muscular & sub-glandular
No Implants

Natural Fat Transfer Augmentation

Your own fat, harvested by liposuction from the abdomen or flanks and refined into the breast. A modest, soft, entirely natural increase, with contouring where the fat came from.

Typically ½–1 cup size · No implant maintenance
Position & Shape

Breast Lift (Mastopexy)

Repositions the breast and nipple higher on the chest and removes stretched skin. Dr. Kim tailors the lift pattern to your anatomy and uses internal support techniques to hold the result.

Peri-areolar · Vertical · Anchor · chosen per patient
Combination

Augmentation + Lift

The most common answer after pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight loss: an implant alone would add volume but leave the breast low. Combining the two restores both fullness and position in one recovery.

One anesthesia · One recovery
Relief

Breast Reduction

For neck, back, and shoulder pain, bra-strap grooving, and activity limits. Reduction is as much a functional operation as an aesthetic one, and patients consistently describe it as life-changing.

Revision & Implant Exchange

Capsular contracture, rippling, malposition, an implant that has aged out, or a result from another surgeon that never looked right. Revision is technical work. Bring us the case.

The Bellava Standard

A new you, naturally.

Most women who come to us don't want to be noticed. They want to stop thinking about it: to fill out a dress, feel even, feel like themselves. That's a harder brief than "make them bigger," and it's the one Dr. Kim is built for.

  • Proportion before volume. Sizing starts from your chest width, rib cage, shoulder line, and existing tissue, not from a number you read online.
  • Incisions placed to disappear. Inframammary fold, peri-areolar, or transaxillary (underarm), selected for your anatomy and how you'd rather the scar sit.
  • Gentle technique, faster recovery. Precise dissection and meticulous hemostasis mean less bruising and swelling; most patients are back to regular daily activity inside a week.
  • We'll tell you when the answer is no. If an implant won't get you what you're describing, or if you don't need surgery at all, you'll hear that at the consult, not after.

Where You'll Be Operated On

The part of the decision
nobody advertises, and should.

Ask any surgeon where they operate and who administers your anesthesia. The answer tells you more about your safety than any before-and-after gallery ever will.

Joint Commission accredited suite

Our surgical suite is accredited by The Joint Commission, the same body that accredits hospitals. Accreditation means scheduled, independent inspection of sterility, equipment, staffing, and emergency protocol.

A board-certified anesthesiologist on every case

Dr. Douglas Kornreich, board-certified anesthesiologist, is part of the Bellava team. Your anesthesia is delivered and monitored by a physician anesthesiologist, not delegated.

Physician-owned, physician-led

Bellava is owned and directed by Dr. Donna D'Alessio, M.D. Clinical decisions are made by physicians, a distinction that matters more in aesthetics than in almost any other field of medicine.

All surgery carries risk. Your consultation will include a candid discussion of the risks, limitations, and realistic outcomes specific to your anatomy and medical history.

Silicone vs. Saline vs. Fat

Three ways to add volume.
They are not interchangeable.

This is the comparison patients spend hours searching for. Here it is honestly, including what each option gives up.

Silicone Implants Saline Implants Fat Transfer
Feel Closest to natural breast tissue; the most common choice at Bellava. Slightly firmer; more noticeable in very thin patients. Entirely natural; it is your own tissue.
Size range Wide: modest to significant increase. Wide: modest to significant increase. Limited. Typically about a half to one cup size per session.
Best for Most patients seeking a defined, predictable, lasting result. Patients who prefer a saline fill, or want a smaller incision. Patients wanting a subtle change and no implant, with liposuction contouring included.
Trade-off Requires a slightly larger incision than saline. Higher chance of visible rippling in thin patients. Some transferred fat is reabsorbed; you need donor fat available.
Longevity Implants commonly last 10+ years when well placed, but they are not lifetime devices; replacement may eventually be needed. Fat that survives the transfer is permanent, though it responds to your weight changes.
Mammograms Screening remains effective; additional imaging views are used for patients with implants. No implant; standard screening.

General information only, not medical advice. Implant candidacy, sizing, and placement are determined at consultation based on your examination, measurements, and goals.

Free consultation

You meet Dr. Kim. Examination, measurements, and an honest conversation about what's achievable for your anatomy, including options you may not have considered.

Sizing & planning

Implant type, profile, and placement are chosen together. You'll see and feel sizers so you're choosing a proportion, not guessing at a number.

Surgery day

Outpatient, in our accredited on-site suite, with a board-certified anesthesiologist. Most breast procedures run one to three hours. You go home the same day.

Recovery & follow-up

Most patients return to regular daily activity within about a week and light exercise in two to three weeks. We follow you through settling, typically three to six months to the final shape.

Cost & Financing

What it costs, and how patients pay for it

Breast surgery is quoted per patient, because the operation is per patient. Your quote depends on the procedure, implant type, whether a lift is combined, and anesthesia time, and it is given to you in writing, all-inclusive, at your consultation. No deposit required to get one.

  • One all-inclusive quote: surgeon's fee, facility, anesthesia, implants, and follow-up visits. No line items appearing later.
  • Monthly financing available: several plans, including options with promotional interest-free periods for qualified applicants.
  • Breast reduction may be insurance-eligible when symptoms are documented. We'll tell you whether it's worth pursuing before you spend time on it.

Breast surgery FAQ

How do I know what size is right for me?
Not from a cup size; cup sizes are inconsistent between brands and tell a surgeon almost nothing. Dr. Kim sizes from your chest-wall width, rib cage, shoulder line, skin quality, and existing breast tissue, then confirms it with sizers you can see and feel at the consultation. The goal is a proportion you recognize as yours, which is usually a more modest implant than patients expect walking in.
Will people be able to tell I've had surgery?
That's the design brief for most of our patients, and it's largely a function of implant selection and placement rather than luck. Choosing a profile that suits your frame, placing the implant appropriately relative to the muscle, and respecting your natural breast footprint is what produces a result that reads as natural clothed and unclothed. If you want an obviously augmented look, that's a legitimate choice too. Tell us at consultation and we'll plan for it.
Do I need a lift, an implant, or both?
It depends on where your nipple sits relative to the fold under your breast. If volume is the only thing missing, an implant alone works. If the breast has descended (common after pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight loss), an implant alone adds volume to a breast that is still sitting low, and patients are often disappointed. In those cases a lift, with or without an implant, is the honest answer. Dr. Kim will show you on examination which situation you're in.
Can I get a natural result without implants?
Yes: fat transfer augmentation uses liposuction to harvest your own fat, which is then processed and grafted into the breast. It gives a soft, entirely natural result and contours the donor area as a bonus. The limits are real: expect roughly a half to one cup size per session, a portion of the transferred fat is reabsorbed, and you need adequate donor fat. For a modest, natural increase it is an excellent option; for a significant size change it is not a substitute for an implant.
Silicone or saline: which should I choose?
Most Bellava patients choose silicone because it feels closest to natural breast tissue and is less prone to visible rippling, especially in thin patients. Saline remains a good option for patients who prefer a saltwater fill or want a smaller incision. Both are FDA-approved and both are placed through techniques Dr. Kim performs routinely. You'll handle both at consultation before deciding.
Where will the scar be?
Dr. Kim uses three incision approaches: in the inframammary fold beneath the breast (the most common, hidden in the crease), around the lower edge of the areola, and through the underarm (transaxillary), which leaves no scar on the breast itself. The right choice depends on your anatomy, the implant selected, and your preference about where a scar is least bothersome to you. All scars fade substantially over the first year with proper care.
How long is recovery, really?
Most patients are up and moving the same day and return to regular daily activities (desk work, driving, normal routines) within about a week. Light exercise generally resumes at two to three weeks, and full unrestricted activity including chest workouts closer to six weeks. Implants continue to settle for three to six months; the shape you see at two weeks is not the final result. If you have a physically demanding job, tell us at consultation so we can plan your timing.
Do breast implants last forever?
No, and any surgeon who says otherwise is overselling. Implants commonly last well beyond ten years when properly placed, but they are medical devices, not permanent parts. Some patients keep the same implants for decades; others need replacement sooner because of capsular contracture, rupture, or simply a change in what they want. Plan on the possibility of a future procedure, and factor that into your decision now.
Can I still get mammograms and breastfeed?
Mammograms remain effective with implants; additional imaging views (Eklund displacement views) are used, so tell your imaging center you have implants when you book. Regarding breastfeeding, many women with implants breastfeed successfully; the risk is influenced by incision choice and placement, and if future breastfeeding matters to you, say so at the consultation so it factors into the surgical plan.
Is surgery performed in a hospital or in your office?
In our own on-site surgical suite, which is accredited by The Joint Commission, the same organization that accredits hospitals. Anesthesia is delivered by Dr. Douglas Kornreich, a board-certified anesthesiologist on the Bellava team. Accreditation is not a formality: it means independent, recurring inspection of sterility, equipment, staffing, and emergency preparedness. Ask any surgeon you consult with where they operate and who administers anesthesia.
What does breast augmentation cost in Westchester?
It is quoted per patient, because the operation differs per patient: implant type, whether a lift is combined, and anesthesia time all move the number. What we commit to is that your quote is given in writing and all-inclusive: surgeon's fee, facility, anesthesia, implants, and follow-up visits. Monthly financing is available, and consultations are free with no deposit required to receive a quote.
I had surgery elsewhere and I'm unhappy. Will you see me?
Yes. Revision work (capsular contracture, rippling, implants that sit too high or too far apart, asymmetry, or a result that simply never matched what was promised) is a meaningful part of Dr. Kim's practice. Bring your operative report if you have it. Revision is more technically demanding than a first-time augmentation and it's assessed honestly: at consultation you'll be told what can realistically be improved and what cannot.
